Water heater make/model

Hi guys,

Hope to get some quick info. I want to pick up a new anode rod for my water heater before the start of this years season, but can’t remember what heater is installed in my TT (only had it for a while first time last year). I would check the books, but they are in the TT in storage and not accessible.

The TT is a Rockwood Signature Series UltraLite 8324BS.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it has an anode rod, then it's a Suburban brand, and the rod is usually the same for all of it's models (part #232767).

Atwood brand tank type heaters do not have an anode.

Get correct anode

Anodes can come in 3 flavors per my understanding. Aluminum, Magnesium and Zinc.

You want an anode that will erode faster than your water heater tank. Assuming your tank is aluminum then your choice would probably be Magnesium. This should be what the factory installed.
I've attached a page from a Suburban water heater manual.

Regards,
Mike
