Water Inlet & Dump Valve

Hi from sunny Florida. We have a 2011 Georgetown Ds360 XL and love it. Very few minor issues (except for the peeling furniture).

It is time to replace the black tank flush inlet check valve and need to know what size to get - 1/2 inlet to 3/4 outlet ?

And when draining the grey tank, the black tank drain valve leaks ( suspect black tank drain outlet flange is cracked). Is it a 3 inch valve ?

Thanks for your thoughts.Click image for larger version

That flush port will not be a check valve just an inlet for the hose connection. The check valve is somewhere inside your coach in line with that port tubing and the tubing to the black tank. Pull the 3 screws and take a look see at what you need.

By the way, why are you replacing it. It's not a time change item.

Thanks for your quick reply. During a flush attempt, I don't hear any water entering the black tank. I once had the same issue with my fresh water tank and the dealer repaired it under warranty. They said it was the inlet valve/check valve. So, I assumed I had the same issue. I know- Assume...

I'm thinking you might have a clogged nozzle at the black tank. Yes, your holding tank input port has an integral check valve. I'm not sure where your black tank vacuum breaker-check valve is within your coach. Mine is in the washer/dryer closet and some are under the bathroom vanity (it will be above the height of your toilet rim wherever it is). Here are pictures of the type typically installed by Forest River. I don't know how to gain access to your units black tank cleanout nozzle. Mine is through the water heater and a PIA to get at.

The tank drain valves themselves are not difficult to change (4 bolts/washers/nuts) but where they are located is sometimes the killer. Typically the black tank drain valve is 3" while the grey is 2". I did say typically.

Thanks Bubbles. Much appreciate the feedback and drawing. I'll take off the inlet tomorrow and see exactly how it is constructed. Afterward, I'll search for the vacuum breaker. Having 2 black tanks, I should find 2 ...lol.

I'll trust your instincts and order the 3 inch drain valve.

The black is 3" but I should have said the grey is 1 1/2" or 2". I've had both grey water sizes. good luck.

Your black tank flush maybe working, you just can't hear it. You might want to run some water through it and open up the toilet flush valve without having the water running.
