Water issues

Hi. I’m out for the first time this year and can’t get any water to run out if the faucets. I tested everything a month ago and had no issues. Now I get no water out of any faucets using city water or the pump. The pump is running and the tank is full. I’m really Stumped. All the valves are in the correct position. It’s above freezing. Any ideas? Thanks

You've checked all the screens on the faucets? You could try changing the position of the valve just in case the valve has a blockage.

Hi. Yes. I had water pressure from when I tested a month ago so water came out of every faucet for a couple seconds. I’ve checked all the valves. It’s like there’s a blockage in the cold water line but running in both directions, going to the front and the back.

Here is what I would try.
1. shut off both pump and the city water if connected.
2. drain pressure from system (loosen camp on pump strainer or suction fitting)
3. Once pressure is at zero (tighten any fittings loosened)
4 Open faucet start pump see if you get water if you do shut and build pressure and test faucet again.
5. let the forum know what you find

Hi. It ended up being the screens. I got water for a few seconds and then it stopped flowing the same at each faucet. All are working fine since I cleaned the screens. I learned something new. Thanks to all of you for your help. Dave

Makes me wonder how much of that stuff is in your water heater yet?

Camco makes a wand that's worth the cost to get in the hole where the anode goes and flush it out.

It's always prudent to use an inline filter when connected to city water or when filling the fresh tank.

I always open the water spigot and let several gallons of water run BEFORE connecting to city water or filling the tank unless I'm at home or a known good source. It doesn't even hurt to fill a quart glass jar and have a look if you are unsure.

If you are saying you believe the junk came from the water heater, stop draining the low point drains without putting the water heater in bypass. The fill tube in the water heater can suck debris from the water heater back into the lines where some of it stays and then clogs the aerators on repressurization.

Usually, the toilet valve clogs first when doing this. It was hard to determine where you believe the contamination came from in your post(s)

I think the junk in the screens actually came from my filter. I usually run water through the hose before connecting it to the trailer, but didn’t this time. I knew I should have. Thanks agar for all the helpful replies.
