Water Leak near hot water heater

I have a small leak. I only see water when we take a shower.

It's not much water and it seems to just be under the small board that is under the water heater.

I have tightened all the connections that I see.

Any ideas on where else I should look?

Thanks,

Mark

Have you checked the shower pan/drain?

There are LOTS of posts about the pan or the drain leaking at the shower and since this ONLY happens when you shower, that's where I'd be looking.

Water will drip onto other surfaces and run out wherever it can. That could be several feet from the source of the leak, even under the water heater.

Also, many of the shower faucet connections are up the wall behind the shower enclosure. Since there is no other access, the only way to check those connections is to remove the shower faucet assembly and pull the entire thing into the shower as far as possible to gain access. You might check there by pulling the faucet assembly if you haven't done so already.

Posting the year, make, and model of the RV in question would be helpful. It’s hard for someone to suggest where else to look if they don’t even know the layout of the motorhome, travel trailer, toy hauler, or whatever it is you have.

Mine was doing the same thing. Took a while found the tank was leaking. Had to replace the tank.
