water leak under sink

Can anybody tell me where this hose its suppose to go. I have a lacrosse 318BHS and water was leaking on floor from underneath the kitchen sink counter. I pulled the panel and water was leaking from this hose just laying there.it seems to be a drain hose of some sort. Not positive where it starts at, but I think it comes off of water heater.

Got a picture? Only hose I can think of that's usually open ended is the winterizing suction hose. Usually ties in near the pump where you can shut of water tank supply valve, and open the valve to the suction hose.

X2 bypass hose near the pump? maybe its not in the closed position?
