Water Pressure

I have a 2015 Wildwood DLX and I have to water pressure in the RV. I have done the normal things like make sure the faucets are clean, the outside connection is clean, etc. The water has fine pressure from the hose. When I turn on a faucet it is immediately good but then the pressure drops to a trickle, both hot and cold. Any ideas of what I’m missing?

i would guess that you have a valve that is not fully open. it is slightly open and it is restricting flow. when you have the faucet closed the pressure goes through the valve and pressurizes the internal plumbing lines. as soon as you open the faucet that pressure escapes and pushes the water our of the lines. but once it is gone the restricted valve limits the amount of water that can then flow.

Do you have a pressure regulator? They go bad sometimes.

I once had a Y valve I put on that had a very small hole for the shutoff. It would allow pressure to build and after the water was on a second pressure would drop. I removed the Y and resolved the issue.
