Water pressure regulator?

I've got a brass Camco water regulator from WalMart.
It's a couple years old but looks perfect.
Problem is it doesn't allow much water flow.
When we turn on a faucet we get a short rush then very
slow stream. IF we leave the faucet on for several seconds
the water pressure usually will slowly increase to a near
normal stream.
This happens every time we use water.

Are there better water pressure regulators out there??

Just ordered one on ebay for $49.99 + $7.50 shipping. This was just about the best price I could find. Here's the link to the item (hope it works).

Not sure why there is no picture but it is the one with the pressure gauge and is adjustable. It works much better than the fixed, non-adjustable ones.

I bought a Watts and a couple of hose adapters from Home Depot...infinitely better flow than those cheapies. Showers are like being at home!

I just spent an hour googling and found several
threads on RV boards about the watts regulators.

Read here
Woodalls Open Roads Forum: Watts H560 Water Regulator arrived in the mail

The watts H560 or the 263A are the way to go.
Similar prices. The RVwaterfilterstore.com
has them at a decent price. I looked pretty hard
and you can find the 263a slightly cheaper elsewhere
but then you'd have to go buy the pipe thread to
garden hose adapter fittings.
These guys sell it with the brass hose fittings already
installed. They say the 263A is slightly better at resisting
sediment. Both are rebuild-able with kits from the
RV store or any plumbing supply that sells watts.
As a 37 year industrial maintenance guy I know we
used watts a lot.
Here's a link. RV Water Filter Store: Water Pressure Regulators for RVs

Kinda pricey but we've suffered for years with the
"cheapo" brass one from Camco. We lost one a couple
years ago (left it on the spigot I guess....) and got
a new one at WallyWorld but it's just the same.
Low flow at best. I also think it lets the water pressure
creep up when you're not using water which is not a good
thing. The whole idea is to regulate the PRESSURE
not the flow.

Darn this RV business sure get's in my pocket
