Water Pump Noise (possible cause)

When we fired up the water pump on our 4th of July trip it made considerably more noise than any previous time. A quick inspection reveled it was vibrating much more than usual. The culprit was the screw that holds the pump to the base was missing. After a little searching I found the screw and the blind nut on the floor about 8" away. Apparently it had vibrated loose on our last long trip. It's back only with some blue Loctite this time. If your searching for water pump noise check the mounting screws.

Thanks for the heads up!

I had a pump that vibrated the suction/strainer loose enough it sucked air.
