Water Pump Question

The water pump in our 2017 Sonoma 280RKS runs for about 1 sec every 15 or 20 seconds. There are no discernable (to us) leaks. Is this normal behavior or should we have it looked at? Warranty end date is coming up. TIA

It sounds to me like the device in your pump that measures pressure to turn pump on and off is overly sensitive.

That would be analogous to the heater in your home turning on and off too often because the thermostat has too narrow a range between on and off temps.

So I am guessing, yes, have it looked at under warranty.

How much water have you run through the water pump?
Sometimes on initial start-up of using the on-board pump, air can get trapped in the lines and create a false pressure point. Sometimes just using some water (at various locations) can resolve the issue if you are certain there are no leaks.

Last spring we took a trip to San Diego and used shore water. Two weeks ago we boondocked. I'm going to say that we ran appx. 10 gals. thru the (aft) kitchen sing and maybe 30 gals. into the (forward}toilet.

The pump ran often enough (1 sec. bursts) that we shut it off unless we needed it. Not only was it annoying, but we were worried about battery consumption
