Water runs out, when I try to hook up to "city" water
Just tried to fill my tank on my new Roo23IKSS. The water started to run out of a hot and cold (red & blue) fittings that stick out through the bottom of the trailer. They come out throught the floor that is underneath the bathroom vanity, right by the sewer drain. They are threaded ends. Are the caps just missing? Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I would look it up in the owners manual, but, as far as I can tell, there are no owners manuals for specific models. Did the dealer forget to give me one? I can't find one online. Thanks.

If these look like the photo below, then yes you are missing the caps......

Sounds like your dealer forgot to do a lot for you.
Showing you how to drain the plumbing system (and determining if the caps are actually missing) is a basic R/V 101 item and something they should have shown you during the PDI/Customer Orientation.
It does sound like they are missing but maybe the dealer took them off to dewinterize and forgot to put them back on. (again, shame, shame, shame)
The only other thing I can think of... some models have a valve located inside (above where the drain tubes are located) to drain the system rather than removing a cap. These valves are typically on models other than Roo's but I thought I'd mention as you never know what they change from model year to model year.
Owners manuals are pretty generic across the board but you should have received something.

They did go over the this stuff with us, but it was in December. And they did give us the generic owners manual. Thank you and Thanks goodness for this forum!!

If the dealer drained the water, they may have put the caps in a drawer or medicine cabinet.

Just get a couple of 1/4 turn valves. You will never have to worry about loosing them.

What HE said!!
You can get push lock or gator grip or some such valves that you
just cut the threaded fitting off the line and push on a new valve.
No more caps needed!
Tip - you can easily cut the lines using simple hand pruners!

Water Overflowing Storage Tank
Seems like an every day problem. Simple answer....either the diaphram in your water pump is bad, or foreign material is trapped and allowing water to flow through the pump and into your storage tank. Mine was a bad diaphram which was taken care of with a new pump under warranty.

OP said the water is coming from the low point drains, there are no caps on them and he doesn't know what the dealer did with them.

X3. I put valves on my low point drains right away. Easy mod that makes it easy to reach under and open/close the drain without laying on the ground (I'm short with short arms). cincia
