Water Set Up Issues

Hi all! This is the first RV I have owned, just recently upgraded from a popup. Took it out camping for the first time a few weeks ago and getting ready to go again but thought I would ask for some help before I leave. When the water was hooked up (city water) the cold would get hot, the hot would be so so and then the water heater light kept coming on and I would have to reset everything and try again. I truly have no idea what I have done wrong, called the dealership and the only answer I received was Ma'am the valves are wrong...so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated

Thanks so much!

It is likely that the water heater bypass valves are still oriented for winter. Look behind the water heater for the following setup and check the valve positions.
