Water Tank Capacity

On our Vibe 308BHS trailer the specs for the water tank capacity say it is 44 gallons. The sticker on the trailer reads 38 gallons. We tested it by filling the tank and then measuring what was drained out of the tank and only 27 gallons came out and there was no water left in the system. Any one have any ideas on why this would be?

Don't know why the specs are wrong but the reason the sticker says 38 and you got 27 FR likes to include the water heater in the capacity.

It's a dirty trick, but a trick nonetheless.

44 to 38 is the water heater. As to the 29 it may not have been full. I have slow the water flow to a darn near trickle to do the last 10 gallons on mine.

Did not have this issue on our other trailer. We did consider the hot water tank capacity as well. As for filling it up, it was filled until the water was coming out the overflow. Issue was when dry camping on the weekend we ran out of water. On our old trailer I did not run out of water, I could easily get through the weekend but on this trailer I could not. The capacities on the two trailers were the same so it makes no sense. It just seems odd that this does not add up. The other thing that seemed odd was that neither the black or the grey water were at their full capacities even though I had used all the water in the fresh water tank. Very little is used for things outside of washing dishes or bathroom stuff. Just makes no sense. Also on this trailer we cannot physically see the tank. On our old one we could see it so we could also keep our eye on it that way.
