Water Tank Will Not Fill

I am using a long necked filler nozzle but cannot get water into my water tank. The water just spills out, I have tried opening a faucet, with the pump off and still no water goes into the tank. I have tried a longer nozzle and the water just keeps spilling back out. I wonder if the baffles are damaged and preventing any water going into the tank?

cut you a 3 ft piece off a garden hose . see if it will go all the way in and attach to hose . better than a funnel.

How fast are you trying to fill it?

We've had a couple over the years that were a bit finicky and required filling very slowly. Many folks try to fill at full blast.

Is this a new issue? Maybe the vent is kinked or blocked somehow.

Following up on 5picker....
Is this a new rig to you? Have you tried draining the fresh water tank to make certain it's empty? Do you have a gravity fill tank?

Sounds like maybe the fill hose is kinked/pinched. We had a kinked vent tube, but could still get water into the tank albeit slowly.
Let us know what you find.

Mine is hard to fill past 20 gallons without blowing into the vent.

If your filler resembles this, place a piece of tube on the vent and blow through it . In a couple seconds you'll feel it clear and you should be able to fill the tank. Shower hose works perfect if you have one laying around

The motorhome is 6 years old and this is a new problem. I recently had the bed up, putting in a new converter, exposing the water tank and hose; there is no crimp in the hose that I can see. We do rent out the MH and empty tank after each rental using my compressor to blow lines clean. Recently we installed a Floe to do this job; although, I cannot see how the Floe would prevent water fill. We can get the tank full but maybe half the water ends up on the ground.
