Water under kitchen sink

We love our 3660, but it's only a month old and it seems like we're dealing with a new issue every few days.
Today I discovered that there is water under the kitchen sink. Not from the pipes, but apparently from the underneath of the sink itself. I didn't think to take photos before I duct taped this, but there was a wet stain that followed the ridge on the underneath of the sink and then dripped slowly off at the edge.
Could the seal around the sink plug be weak, allowing water to pool between the top and the base of the sink?
Any ideas of what to do, other than duct tape?

The seal around the sink drain is called plumbers dope and it's like plasticine. if you think this is where the leak is coming from simply unscrew the drain clean off the old plumber dope. You can buy plumber dope at any hardware store even Wal-Mart. take the new putty roll it out into snake shape wrap it around the drain screw it back together remove any putty the squeezes out during the installation process and you are done.

The leak may as well be coming from around the sink, from water that is splashed during use of the sink, this would require re-caulking around the sink.

I can't tell by the picture. Is the sink top or bottom mount?
