Water wont fill past half

Hi folks I have a new Forest River Prime Time Avenger 20RD it is supposed to have a 48 gallon fresh water tank I checked the stats on line as well Prime Time advertises this unit as 48 gal. My problem is it will only hold about 27 gallons until water runs out the overflow underneath the trailer. The monitor shows full at this point. So I drained the tank completely and measured the water I put in it took about 27 gallons and ran out the overflow again? This is frustrating.

Spec sheet for the 20RD shows 42 gallons for the fresh water tank, but that's still significantly more than 27 gallons.

Not familiar with your line of trailers, but I'd check for a leak / crack in the tank, or a problem with one of your upper lines (vent, fill, or return line if applicable).

Another very far fetched possibility is they installed a smaller tank from one of their 16 foot trailers.
