What Adhesive?

A question for the Materials Engineers out there:

What adhesive should I use to glue my new Oxygenics wall bracket to my shower surround? I'm not adverse to using stainless hardware if I have to, but I'd like to try adhesive-only first if I can.

The old OEM bracket was simply glued in place, without any kind of screws, so there IS an appropriate adhesive to use. It was a real bear to get most of the old adhesive off to get back to a flat surface again.

I'm willing to use exotic adhesives, if that's what it takes.

Got any suggestions?

Heavy duty double sided tape. thats what they come with and if properly prepped works just fine.

OK, so I got the bracket mounted (had to go get shorter #10 stainless flathead screws, but whatever...), but a new quandary has presented itself:

The Oxygenics shower head and bracket will not allow for the in-line "almost shut-off" valve to be mounted directly below the head, only at the other end of the hose, by the faucet. Since this is a shower-tub combo, the hose exits the faucet pointed downward, and mounting the valve down that low will be quite inconvenient for us.

Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, were you able to come up with a solution?

I'm thinking a foot-long plastic hose "extension" might be the answer, but it will have to be male threads to female. Maybe a different design shut-off valve?

Unless you really need it, simply discard it. We have maybe used the shut off twice in 10 years.

Sorry, but I'm really looking for another answer here.

We used it virtually every time with our old shower head, and would like to continue the practice, thus my asking for possible solutions.

Seems I recall having a bracket issue when installing my Oxygenics. I think my solution was to go back to the bracket for the OEM head that came with the trailer.

It didn't work like it was supposed to, but it worked well enough to suit me.

Perhaps a slow walk through Lowe's/Home Depot will yield a better bracket?

I've done that.

I wanted to replace the not-frosted globe on the light fixture over the dining table in my 5ver. Took the original to Lowe's and walked around. Finally had to buy an entire fixture just to get the globe but now I have a frosted globe that is so much easier on the eyes.
