What is this part of my plumbing?

Can anyone tell me what this black part is in my bathroom plumbing system. It has a supply hose rising up to it then has a hose going back down into belly of trailer. It also has a directional flow arrow on it. Just curious as to what it is, it's not giving me any grief, but I just want to know what it is.

For your black tank rinser. I had to replace mine because of leaking. When I took it off found out it may have been the funky plastic clamp they put on the hose. Replaced with metal one. Click image for larger version

Yep, as said what it is. Here's a generic install picture:

Mine was seeping so I removed it and the hose and reconnected the hose to the black tank flush inlet which has a back flow preventer also. It works great without the added BFP and hose.

That was a good post. Mine leaked once and I removed the shower controls to get access to that device. As I was away from home and had sealant with me, I reinstalled the controls and it hasn't leaked since. I say it's a good post because it tells others about this device and how it may become a problem.

Back flow valve for black water tank. I found out the hard way when factory installed it backwards on my new XLR. Toilet flusher wouldn't work. No big deal to turn it around.
