What's Wrong With My Water Pump?

My Windjammer 3029W is new. I have been using it on city water for a couple of weeks now, and today I thought I would test out the fresh water tank and pump system. I completely filled the fresh water tank, turned on the pump and went to the kitchen faucet. All I got was a sputtering of water mixed with air. I checked all of my other faucets and got the same thing, except on the hot side, there is a little bit less air and a slight stream of hot water. After I turn things off, the pump will not turn off unless I hit the switch or connect the city water. I also noticed that the pump is pushing a lot of air into my water heater because after I connect the city water and turn on the hot side of a faucet, I can hear water filling into the water heater until it fills up and then sounds normal.

There are no leaks anywhere.

I "fixed" it. I took a look at the pump and noticed a diverter valve, obviously for the antifreeze intake on the outside. The diverter was positioned to sucking antifreeze instead of sucking water from the fresh water tank. I flipped the diverter and all is well.
