When do YOU summerize your camper?

Realizing that many parts of the country have different weather we were wondering when you summerize your vehicle and where you live.

Here is SW Ontario I'm thinking early to mid May is about right. But many of us are newbies so please all you experienced folks please chime in. Thanks.

The first trip after February. If I camp between Nov and Feb, I will re-winterize. This is for S. Georgia.

Our first camping trip is usually late April or early May so I de-winterize just before that to check everything out.

When we get it new from the dealer, we load it an do a few mods and start using it. Never winterize it as we go to FL when the weather turns cold here in Concord, NC. Just got back from a 3 month+ stay. Will probably take off again in a few weeks. Have to make a few more mods and get ready to go to Goshen in Aug. and then over to the Quad Cities, down to Trenton, MO and then to Lonoke, AR and then back home in Sept and get ready for FL in mid Nov. Rough life being retired.

I de-winterize when we get a good week of above-freezing temperatures at night. Usually in the first half of April.

We're leaving on the 29th for our first trip. Currently we have antifreeze in the lines, but I plan on de-winterizing for the trip, but blowing out the lines when we return.

( Michigan ) We get our out trailer out of indoor storage every year on April 15. I usually check everything over and de-winterize the last week of April.

I am also in Southern Ontario, I de-winterize the RV about the same time I de-winterize the pool; it is battle to decide which to do first.
But I usually do them both before the May 24 weekend (Queen Victoria's Birthday for the Americans in the crowd); this is because I will be using one or the other on May 2 4

First year for us, however here on the east cost (Newfoundland) we're planning mid-May at a near-by campsite. This will prepare us for May 24th weekend; as noted by Barney1 a key long weekend in Canada.

We are in the Chicagoland area and we de-winterize the second week of April each year and winterize the 1st week of November. We are conservative just to be safe, but could probably do a few weeks early in spring and maybe a week or two later in the fall and be just fine.

I'll de-winterize next week for our trip to Fl, but will blow lines when we get back first of April. Temps in OH tend to drop below freezing in April still.
