Where is water filter?

I recently purchased a 2006 Grand Surveyor 265 RK fifth wheel. I cannot locate the factory installed water filter. Anyone know where it is? Found an spare Water Pur #CCI-10-Ca cartridge and wrench but not the #CCI-10-CLW filter assy. / Thanks.

Generally the filter is near the water pump. On our Cardinal, the pump and filter are in a cabinet in the bathroom. If you can't find the pump, turn it on and follow the noise.

Thumbs up

Thanks Joe. I'll give it a try. Nothing under the cabinets. F.R. did a good job of hiding stuff on this FW. Next quest is to find the slide-out motor.

In my new Rockwood 5th the pump and filter are under the kitchen counter. They are located behind a cabinet door that had no knob and was screwed shut. I unscrewed the 3rd hinge that held it shut and replaced it with a magnetic catch. Now I can service the water filter easier. I just left the wrench in there so I don't have to look for it.

Look for a cabinet door with no knob that's screwed shut. That'll be it.

I got to thinking about this. I bet that cartrige isn't a spare at all.
I'll bet that cartrige is the original new one that came with the trailer and was never installed. My dealer did not install mine, and if I had not found it during the walk through and asked where it goes, I would have never found the filter assembly.

Nothing wrong with the cartrige, though. Have a big bowl and some towels handy when you intall the thing. It's about like putting an oil filter on an old farm tractor...except water is easier to clean up.

Thumbs up Success!

Found the water filter assy. It is behind a wall section that doubles as a panel in the exterior storage area under the bedroom, and directly behind the city water inlet. As Joe indicated, the water pump is near the filter unit also. And as Radio suspected, there is no cartridge in the filter assy.! The dealer, or factory, never installed it.

Thanks for the help.
