Where to buy these plumbing parts ?

Hello. I have a leak and I need to replace both sections of the black PVC in our 2013 Rockwood 1940 LTD Popup camper. It's the plumbimg that goes from the sink to the outside of the camper (grey water). There is a tiny crack in the connection on the trap (see red arrow in photo) and the two pieces are cemented together so I have to replace both of them. I wasn't able to purchase them a local camping store or at Home Depot.. Any idea what parts I would need to order and what website would have them ? I don't see these parts on the parts list that came with our camper. Thanks. Pam

It should be a standard P trap that you can find at any hardware store.

A liberal application of black pvc cement inside and out, made for black plastic will get you by for a while. Just avoid the threads. If you can find either an older hardware store near a mobile home community or a mobile home supply store.... My pop up did the same thing. I forgot to add a bit of anti freeze in the sink trap one winter. I figured it out my first trip of the year, nobody had the right diameter, so I used the glue trick. Lasted thru a whole summer.

take the black plastic part to a good, large hardware store where the hired help there is always much better then the big box stores... I would bet you can get pieces that will fit together to replace that section

Thanks all for the replies. I brought the pieces with me to ACE hardware and Home Depot. Both had the trap section of the PVC but not the section that exits the camper with the threads. What they had with the threads I need was too short (the threaded section was too short). See the section at the bottom left of the photo I attached. Good idea about the black pvc glue but I am hoping to replace them so I don't have to go through his again. Thanks. Pam

If you've gone through all that, I would contact Forest River and see about purchasing it directly from them.

Did some searching and couldn't find anything that looks like that long threaded part.

Just a thought: You MAY be better off in the long run to get something "standard" that will connect the shorter version you did find with whatever it that the longer version goes into. Then if you have future problems, you'll be able to find the parts.

I think the long threaded part is called a bulkhead fitting. Search "1 1/2 pvc bulkhead fitting" on Amazon.

If you use glue, try thick or gel super glue.

RV manufacturers like to use fittings that no one else has ever seen, including RV dealers (especially RV dealers).

Thanks for searching. Good point. The long threaded part is what goes through the wall of the camper tonthe outside and then you screw the grey water cap onto it. It has to be long enough to get through the wall of the camper. What they had in the big box store only had about a 3rd of the amount of threading. Going to swing by Campers Inn today to see if they can help. I am also waiting for Forest River to answer my email. Thanks all for taking the time to respond !

Here's a method to make your own based on parts that are available at the big box hardware stores. Good luck!

Pam,
Try calling Customer Service for the manufacturer of your camper. Sometimes they have unique proprietary parts to fit particular applications.

If the threaded end in not long enough, could you get a shorter one and add an extension to get out of the tt.

I had a somewhat similar situation with the outside shower header assembly on my old Sprinter years ago & ended-up "coating" the crack with JB Weld. It was still holding when I traded the trailer.

Most of the better trailer supply stores I believe carry those parts.

We have several here in San Diego that carry all of the lightweight faucets and fixtures piping excetera.
