Which hydroflush should I purchase

I'm looking at getting a hydroflush connector for my dump hose which allows me to hook up a water hose and back flush the system. I see they have 45 degree and 90 degree models. I'm really new to this stuff. Is there an advantage in one of them, or is it just a matter of preference for how the hose leads out of the RV? I have a 2017 Forrest River Sunseeker 2650CDWS.

I think the 90* would work better but as you said it is just a matter of how the hose leads out. I have pvc pipe that is 24" long and with a 18" drop into the septic so I used a 45* back flush with a regular 45*.

I bought the Hydroflush and it wasn’t helpful at all- there were just too many bends in the plumbing between the tank and the sewer connection. But, that was a fifth wheel and not a Sunseeker.

I added a black tank flush and just use the hydroflush as a clear window to see what the water I’m dumping looks like.

Like you said, mine goes about 18" back and then there are two 45's...one goes right and the next goes left. The spray would never get remotely close to getting to black tank. Seen a few vids on why those mostly don't work very well and changes in pipe directions is the common flaw.

Seems as though a unit such as yours would have a black tank flush system and if so, why would you consider a back flush hook-up?

Put in a black tank flusher instead. Get the spinning one Camping Wotld sells. Kit comes with everything you need.

Maybe someone can confirm, but I’d be really surprised if your 2017 doesn’t already have one.

Even if the hydroflush connection doesn't do a good job of flushing out the black tank it is a fast way to fill up the tank with clean water and dump. Much faster than holding down the toilet flush valve or running a hose from outside into the toilet.

Unless the pipe runs straight to the black tank...and even that doesn't help that much, over half of the water shot into the pipe backs up and flows right back out, never reaching the black tank.

This ^^^

Mine has a black tank flush, but I use the Rhino brand version of the flush king. Dump and fill as many times as needed super fast.

Maybe you're not using the right one. Here is the one I use. Camco 39085 Rhino Blaster Sewer Tank Rinser with Gate Valve
Once you close the valve and start the water it has no place to go except into the black tank after you open your dump valve.
