Cool 12 Volt short repair

My ROO 23SS had three 12V shorts resulting from an electric brake wire overheating failure. I fixed two of the shorts underneath the trailer, but I don't know how to get at the wiring for the remaining dead short. None of the lights work.
Using a meter I found that the overhead lights positive 12v are connected to the 5th fuse panel, which is shorted to ground. When the positive wire is connected to the fuse panel, the fuse blows and the battery voltage drops about 2 volts until the wire is disconnected.
The wiring list for the fuse panel shows the first 3 as "ceiling, kitchen, bath"; but there is apparently nothing connected to them. The 5th fuse position is labeled "living room"; but apparently includes the ceiling and other lights wiring. The other 12v circuits (4,6,7,8) all are OK now.

How can I get access to the 5th position wire (that goes back behind the fuse panel) and the wires from all the lights ??

12 volt short repair

I obtained access by pulling the Converter assembly out far enough to trace the #5 shorted wire, which went under the floor, then over, then forward to the 12 volt circuit breaker, where it was apparently shorted to ground as a result of the original brake failure. I temporarily removed the short by cutting and taping the positive wire under the floor.

All of the interior lights now work, and the #1,2,3 now work OK.

What is the function of the 12 volts supplied to the front of the trailer? Perhaps the fail/safe brake activation if the trailer is separated from the tow vehicle?

12 volts supplied to the front of the trailer, (I assume your talking about the Batt and 7way plug). It's to charge your Batt on the TT from your TV and the emergency break away switch.

Great job troubleshooting.
