12V problem

My wife and I recently bought a 2016 tracer air 2671. This is our first camper so we are new to all of this. We have been on 3 short camping trips with no problems. We just got back from a 3 day trip and the only two things working on the travel trailer are the slide out and electric jack (not plugged in to the house yet). When I do plug into the house, everything works as should. I'm guessing I'm having converter problems, but like I said, I'm new to this. Any help would be very appreciated.

Actually you are not having converter problems, you are having battery problems. When you are plugged in the converter is making everything work, maybe its not charging the batteries, maybe the disconnect was off and they went dead. Let it charge for a day or so and then disconnect the 120 volt and see what works then.

If the jack and slide work then it is more than likely the disconnect. Check to make sure the battery disconnect switch is not in the disconnect mode.

I would bet the batter disconnect switch is off. Jacks and sometimes slide outs are powered before the bypass.

Good video here:

Many more also on youtube.

BTW, an inexpensive digital voltmeter (or multimeter) is a basic tool for any electrical system testing or diagnosis.

thanks.
Follow the wiring from the truck. Test the truck battery voltage with the engine running. As you follow the wiring, you should be within a few tenths of a volt that is showing at the truck battery. If you find a sudden drop at some point, you have found the problem area.

Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions. It ended up being the battery disconnect. Either my wife or I (I will blame her) must have hit it by accident You saved me from a very embarrassing trip to the service department!!!! Thanks again to all!!!
