1998 Flagstaff Pop Up wiring

hi all, first post. Purchased a 1998 Flagstaff pop up camper. In order for it to pass inspection, i need to install a light above the license plate. I purchased a light assembly from an auto parts store that has one brown wire coming out of the back. Anyone know where i can find instructions and/or a video on how to install this thing?

The brown wire is running lights and you can connect to the brown on either taillight.
