2020 RLT2608BSD converter issue

The converter is not charging the battery. 50 amp unit hooked up to 30 amp service. Battery will drain in about a day. Warranty servicers are backed up until late September. We are supposed to travel mid August.
Anyone know what the replacement model converter is if I have to purchase one?
The battery is new and checked. No increase at battery when hooked up. No power at terminals when disconnected.
Breakers and fuse panel are good. Everything works when battery is charged.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanx

50A unit connected to 30A service???? Are you at a campground or a service at home. That could be your problem. Home made or factory type adapter?

You do know that you can use an independent RV shop or mobile RV technician, right? You just have to get pre-approval from FR and be willing to be reimbursed.

Nothing wrong with a 50amp to 30amp, or even 50amp to 15amp adapter. The adapter should provide power to both legs of the 50amp. It is done all the time.
As far as what converter the OP has, the easiest thing to do is find it, gain access to it, and determine if it is bad using a multimeter, check any fuses/breakers, and get the model number if you need a replacement.
Then call these folks http://www.bestconverter.com/ for an appropriate replacement.
Or skip all the above and call a service tech if you want to go the warranty route.
Good luck!

Thanks all. Using retail dogbone adapter 50-30. Thanks for the thought about a mobile tech as the closest shop is the mid Sept. appt. I will see if we can get to the model number if all else fails.
I also read that there may be a battery fuse to check.

Did you check the battery protection fuses? two of them usually 30 or 40 amp. They will be together somewhere in/on your converter. And are you checking them by eyeball or using a multimeter.?

That is available at WalMart and Amazon for $150-160 bucks...if you just want to replace it yourself and seek reimbursement from FR. Direct & easy replacement... though most of us would suggest replacing with another brand of SMART converter like Progressive or Iota or BestConverter. Just get similar amps if you are happy with your present battery bank...55 amps is ideal for around 200 amp hour bank. If you plan to go to 4x 6V or 12V suggest you get one up in the 90 amp range for fastest charging .
