2021 Coachmen furnace blowing cold air

Took my 4-5 month old 2021 Coachmen Adrenaline 21lt out in the woods for the first time this weekend. Several issues. Biggest one of all, the furnace kept cycling, but only blowing cold air. Was in the mountains of Wyoming and had to cut the trip short due to my dogs shivering. Plenty of propane. What is the deal? A little insight please. First time camper owner. Heater worked fine when we were plugged in at a KOA.

If your furnace is propane, the battery may be to low to spin the fan enough to open the sail switch. Shore power would overcome this.

If furnace doesn't ignite, there could be air in the lines. Usually clear those out by burning the stove for a few minutes. Also see if the water heater lights up. It could be bad igniter, a bad sail switch or as someone mentioned a low air flow not closing the sail switch. But it sounds like you have plenty of air flow.

I would turn it on, turn the thermostat up above room temperature and go outside and listen to what the furnace is doing. You should hear the igniter clicking. See if it does and if it ignites and keeps blowing out, or just doesn't ignite at all, or if there is no clicking sound whatsoever. These symptoms will guide you or you can post your findings here.

I had a had a similar problem on my new Coachmen Apex Nano 187RB. We have been living in it for 6 months when all of a sudden it stopped heating. When we turned it on the fan would run for about 20 seconds then shut off.

The fix was to remove the furnace from the cabinet and remove the sail switch and clean the fuzz of the plunger switch. I reinstalled the unit and it works like a champ.

The OP hasn’t been on the forum since 09-05-2021 04:53 PM. You might want to send him a PM if you think he hasn’t solved this problem since early September.
