2021 Geo Pro 16BH - outlets not working

Hi everyone,

Newbie here with a question I've seen asked and successfully answered on this forum.

We got a 2021 Geo Pro 16BH last fall and it's been great except that when I went in yesterday to prep it for an upcoming trip, I noticed that none of the outlets are working. This is true when connected to shore power or using the inverter. There seems to be no power getting to the GFCI outlet in the bathroom (which I think is the only one and the others feed from it). I've looked through these forums and have seen similar posts and tried a number of things to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, none of the recommendations I've seen have been successful thus far.

So far I have:

-Verified that the shore power is working appropriately - the A/C and microwave work fine when plugged in.

-Verified that the inverter gets power and turns on when not connected to shore power.

-Checked the breakers and fuses - all seemed fine although I didn't remove the panel or anything, just checked that none had been tripped and then turned them off and back on.

-Checked the inverter breaker - the button wouldn't move so I'm guessing that it wasn't tripped.

-Checked the wiring into the GFCI outlet - all was secure.

-Replaced the GFCI outlet.

None of these things have worked. We're new to travel trailers and don't know where to check next. Is there something that I missed? What should be my next troubleshooting step?

If it's helpful, the trailer hasn't been on the road since December (it's been in our yard, connected to shore power) and the outlets worked fine when we winterized it.

The dealer is out about 6 weeks for service and we can't wait that long so I'm hoping I can pin down and resolve the issue.

Thank you so much in advance for any feedback anyone may be able to offer, I really appreciate it!

Do you know that you can use an independent RV shop or mobile RV tech for warranty work? You just have to get pre-approval from FR and be willing to be reimbursed.

Sounds like you covered all the bases. As far as I know, there is indeed only one GFCI breaker and it’s in the lav. If you have a multi meter and know how to use it, you can check for voltage at the outlet, then work your way back to the source.

Thanks for the suggestions!

We'll call FR re: warranty pre-approval and see if we can trace the issue with a multimeter.

I assume the battery bank is charged.

Likely the inverter is the issue.

Typically the fridge and some outlets are connected to the inverter. All power to these items passes thru the inverter. The inverter is plugged into the ac primarily to sense if the shore power is on or off. If no ac it turns the inverter on to power outlets. Therefore no inverter no power.

My guess is that if you get to the inverter there is no power out the wire to the panel. Voltmeter to test. Power to these outlets passes thru the inverter.

Study up on the inverter. Test any fuses there. Could be operator error. Loose wires. Etc.

There is a big fuse or circuit breaker on the wire from the battery to the inverter. Big one. Not sure but presume 12 volt availability might be needed. There are lots of ways to wire stuff.

Disconnect shore power and start hunting with the voltmeter at the inverter.

Be careful.
