21 model year 26DBH running lights

Hi All,

My wife and I are on the road with our new trailer and have noticed the running lamps are dim in the rear, and not working up front (front of slide, top clearance lights, front of main door)

I have found that the green wire between the left rearmost side lamp is very hot, and when disconnected- the labp on the slide goes out, and the rearmost lamps do brighten up. Voltage goes from 7-10v on the remaining green wire which also indicates to me that there is high resistance in that wire.

What I can’t do is however access the connection of the clearance light on the slide, as there is no slack whatsoever.

Does anyone have any recommendation on how to gain access to the wiring running into the slide?

We are on the road, so bringing back to the dealer would be a 24 hour trip.

I’m an automotive electrical engineer and former ASE master auto tech, so i’m not afraid to handle it- just can’t seem to find access to the wiring, and whether it would be easier from inside or outside. And from what I understand there is no schematic available for us to use in order to troubleshoot

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. You are correct with regard to electrical schematics. something is sure shorting out, Look under your slide and see if you can access the wire there to give some slack. just a thought
