A/C breaker trips

I have a 2015 Thunderbolt XLR 375AMP and the breaker on the main A/C trips when under heavy use. Do the breakers sometimes go bad? Don't notice anything else wrong. Cools fine and no burning smell but breaker will trip after several hours of heavy use.

Breaker could be bad. Easy replacement, just make sure you get one that matches you panel manufacturer. Also check the pedestal voltage. If at a campground and everyone is experiencing heavy use then the voltage could be low. This causes the current to increase and can eventually trip the breaker. It is also not good for the compressor.

Breakers can get weak over time, but I would suggest tightening the connections at the power panel (hot and neutral) and at the A/C itself. There's probably wire nuts at the A/C so I'd remove them and check the wires to be sure they're in good shape and the connection is tight. Make sure that the power is unplugged before working in the power panel and connections.

If that's not the problem then I'd check the amp draw with a clamp on meter to see if maybe it's the A/C and not just the breaker. If you don't have one you can get a multimeter with clamp-on amp probe pretty cheap on that A or E place.

You've received good advice.

Check things before you start throwing parts (breaker) at it.

Could be as simple as a loose wire(s)/weak breaker/low voltage (as mentioned) or as serious as needing a unit replacement.
