Adding additional LiPo batteries

If I have a 100AH battery installed can I later on add an additional,identical,100AH battery to it or must they be purchaced and installed at the same time?Thx

That's what pushed us into a second, don't really need it at this point, but will as we boondock more.

So we just suffered the pain and bought the second a month after the first. Should be good for many years now.
