Adding light switches to One Control system

Bought a new Cedar Creek Silverback 37MBH. Love it and the One Control system except for one thing. Who in the hell wants to open a cabinet and fiddle with a touch screen or us the phone app to turn the lights on and off every time they go in or out? Its stupid and a major oversite by them.

I identified the 4 light sets I would be turning on and off multiple times a day and decided to add 12V led backlite switches near the entrance like most campers have.

First I identified the switched wires leading out of the One Control brain inside the storage compartment and measure the current on each one when activated, nothing over 1.78 amps.

I added a 10A inline fuse running from the switch bank to the 12V power and ran a lead wire for each one of the circuits. A 3 amp coaxial diode was added, 2 amp bare minimum, on each of the 4 wires heading to the brain to block the voltage from appearing there when none is expected as the box gave me an error code when the switch was activated. Had to reset the power to clear the code. A 3 amp diode, or 2 amp minimum, was needed as it needed to be able to handle the current flow of the circuit when only the app was being used to run the light set. Your system might vary and each line needs measured when activated so proper value components are used.

I can now switch the lights on and off via the phone app, touch screen, or switches and no codes appear. When only the one control is used to run the circuit the switch will illuminate like it was in use, when in truth the switch was not activated, the led inside illuminates because 12v is on the output of the switch.

I will enjoy the camper much more this way and highly suggest this become standard on Forest River campers with the wireless option.

Hope this helps anyone out there with this system and is handy.
