Just Found Out Today my EMS works

I arrived at a new campground today, plugged my EMS-PT30X into the pedestal - just the pedestal - not the TT, and had an error E10. The E10 says I need to replace the Surge Protector Module because it had saved me from a surge event. This surprised me because I didn't know there had been a surge?! Then I remembered that the power had gone out after a storm at the last campground. I think a tree fell on the power lines, as I later saw a freshly chain sawed tree nearby.
So, I'll be calling Progressive Industries on Monday. Time to replace that module! BTW, I picked up the EMS in July. It took 9 months before it was actually needed. Glad I had it now!

I had my trailer plugged into my house power two weeks ago when the power went off.
Just to check it out I had the EMS plugged into the trailer cord.
When the power came on, it blipped on and off about five times before stabilizing.
AC was turned on.
The EMS kept it from cycling and might have saved the unit.
Certainly not good for an AC to be exposed to that.

Preaching to the choir here. That was the 1 item we bought when we bought the 1st RV. Already toasted on a couple years back. Glad it we the EMS and not the RV.

Just to follow up, Progressive Industries sent my warranty replacement. The "module" - at least for a portable unit - was a whole new unit.
