For making coffee or using the microwave when boondocking, we run the generator and that helps to recharge our batteries at the same time. Didn't think that putting in a big inverter and dealing with the battery load problems was worth it.

Exact same setup here. I wired in a cheap Harbor Freight 300 watt inverter into the power wires going to the stereo in order to power TV, Roku, and Raspberry Pi.
