Battery add-on

Hi
I am nursing an abused 2005 Cardinal 37rx back to life.
Dealing with the battery area, I notice there is a fused blue (pos) and white (plain) to the neg.
They are part of the original installation as far as I can tell.
Can someone advise me as to what the function is.

Usually the blue is to the breakaway battery switch and white is to the chassis.
