Battery charger location.

Hi all. I have a new to me 17 wildcat 29rkp.
When I'm plugged into sure power I am not charging the battery. I am only charging plugged into the vehicle.
So I'm wondering were they likely installed the battery charger so I can check that? Or is there even one installed? Haven't taken any time yet to look. Just thought someone can push me in the right direction.

Most of the time the converter will be in a section in the bottom of the power center under the top section which has the circuit breakers and fuses. You need to remove the screws holding the cover on the power center to get to it.

Do you have 12v DC lights on when not plugged into shore power?

It's called a CONverter. Most RVs have the converter behind the fuse/breaker panel.
Suggest that you Google "the 12 Volt Side of Life". It's a good primer on the two different RV electrical systems.

Not sure what you're referring to.
Since you don't appear to have the same trailer as the OP, I have never seen a black box under the thermostat. Doesn't sound like a converter to me.

Good catch. Never seen a black fuse/breaker panel before.
Maybe they are getting away from the long standard brown one.

And the vents shown in the video at the bottom of the power panel definitely indicate that is where the converter (aka: battery charger) is.
