Battery charging

Hello

We just purchased a Coachman Prism Class C motorhome. The unit has a power cut-off switch that supposedly cuts off all power from the coach batteries to the coach. The question I have is if I plug the motorhome into a 110V outlet, will the coach batteries be charging if the cut-off switch is turned off?

Thanks!

NO, you need your disconnect on to use your on board charger....

That's what I thought, Thanks! Do you feel it makes sense to leave the MH plugged in during winter storage?

I keep mine plugged in 24/7 at my house, just keep an eye on the water in the batteries. My charger stays at 13.2 . I have been doing it for years no problems, the batteries are to hard for me to take out and put on a tender. Your converter should drop to 13.2 with not reading any loads. It also allows me to run a 1500 watt heater to keep the condensation out. Inside my 5er is dry as a bone.

Thank you so much! This appears to be a great place for help! I've owned several travel trailers in the past but this is my first MH, so there are a few areas that I'm not familiar with.

Take care!!!
