With the solar panel on it reads 13.5 ahead of the regulator once float charge is reached. Just a nice number to see at a glance when it starts to get dark.

If batteries are AGM this can be installed near them and you will know stress free on your phone where you are. Don't even tell me you don't have a smart phone.

What's wrong with geeking out a bit? Your not in a tent with no modern accessories. How much money did your camper cost over a tent?

Those are great no matter what type of battery you have. Also great for determining what is drawing current in your RV. Makes it easy to trace down phantom draws.

Also, if you use a Victron solar controller, this monitor allows you to share its data with the controller so that you now have remote voltage sensing for your controller.

I just think about "back in the day" abuse we did to the batteries. The lights got awfully dim and the tube TV screen kept getting smaller. We still had fun though.

"Back in the day" the standard RV battery was the same battery used in cars for starting. You could buy one for $20 with "Reconditioned" batteries almost half that. Run 'em until a match put out more light than a battery powered bulb and charge em back up. Next season started with a new battery.

Batteries are better built and a lot more expensive today. Pays to pay attention to all the details we didn't even know about "back in the day".

A few inches of 3/4” solder bonded copper water pipe works well too and it provides a solid mount for the shunt.[ATTACH]
