Battery disconnect replacement

I have a broken battery disconnect knob. As in the pull knob got broken off by my 2 year old lol its connected and not giving me issues. But still need to replace.
I got a replacement knob, just curious if I can replace it I I'm careful with the wires, or should I just disconnect my battery terminals, then replace the disconnect switch?
Thanks in advance

I would suggest disconnecting the battery. It is very easy for a loose cable to get against a ground point while doing something like this.

And make sure you are unplugged from shore power so the line from any converter/changer/inverter is not live.

Thanks everyone. I unplugged all power, even switched off all breakers just incase. Switched the battery disconnect out for the new one. All went well thanks again for the advice.

Glad it went without a hitch. We all like when that happens!

Ahhh, you didn't replace the knob you replaced the entire switch. Your first post confused me as there's no reason to disconnect anything to replace the knob.
