Battery disconnect switch

I discovered the battery disconnect switch on my 2016 Sierra 371 REBH is not working. The switch is off (battery disconnected) however, I still have power to all 12 volt applications (lights, electric jacks, etc.)
Thinking it was a bad switch, I removed one of the power cables connected to the back of the switch and still have power to all 12 volt applications.
Of course, this is draining my battery.
Amy help is appreciated.

Sounds like you are connected to shore power and running off the converter. If you are plugged in then unplug and check disconnect switch again.

How many wires are hooked to the positive battery post?

Not sure. it's difficult to trace since the disconnect switch and the battery are on opposite sides of the 5er. I just know that the disconnect has two red battery cables.

You seem to have 2 positive wires and 2 negative wires leaving the batteries. One set is probably going to the inverter (the ones with the yellowish connectors). Does the inverter feed the converter including the 12v side?

I have a hunch that the disconnect switch only turns off the inverter. Turn off the disconnect and see if the fridge light goes out.

Turn off the disconnect and check the fridge light. If the fridge light is not on then the disconnect is just for the inverter and not the whole trailer.

Yes it's running on the battery.

Ok, I'll check it out.
Thanks for the quick response.

If I determine the disconnect switch is for the inverter only, is this normal? I was under the impression that the disconnect switch turns off all 12 volt applications.

I discovered it goes to the inverter, just as you mentioned. Thanks. i'm definitely going to install a disconnect switch to the other battery. Thanks again.
