Battery Disconnect switch

Parked at site and plugged in to 30 amp service when in use. Plug is disconnected when we are not there. Has the solar charger for battery.
Can someone give me a simple explanation of the battery disconnect switch and what is being powered when it is in the on and off position. In the second picture I assume that is the off position. When in that position the light in the refrigerator is off.

unless we know what make/model RV you have we can't help much.



And then the answer would be "it depends". Look at the battery or + bus near the battery, trace the wires that go to this switch. "Normally" the switch kills all power from the battery except the brake breakway switch. But can't be sure.

The CO/LP alarm is sometimes continuously powered, even with the disconnect off. Some people choose to rewire it so it's not.

who know what is disconnected the way they wire these things? with a switch like that with the removable key, if you can remove the key the switch has opened the circuit and disconnected the battery from most loads. but there are probably still others that are directly wired to the battery.
