Is you battery disconnect turned to off? My 5th wheel will not charge the batteries if the Battery disconnect is off..

If that were the case, none of their 12V systems would work at all.

Battery is fully charged today. I still have to get a volt meter to check voltages . Hoping to get one tonight. Battery charge goes down 1 light when I turn on the lights in the fifth wheel, so I know the battery’s is charging but still concerned it losses charge as we turn stuff on. When camping on the weekend it would not charge above 2 lights but I am concerned the extension cord we used was faulty as it would go to empty when things were on. When we plugged into the truck it went very quickly to 3 lights. In order to be confident the converter is working I’m going to check all the places the video suggests. Thanks

Thanks again and enjoy the remainder of your day!

Since you're gonna buy a multimeter...go on amazon and get one that has clamps on the end of it to measure BOTH AC and DC current.
They can be had for about 50 bucks on amazon and will let you know a lot of stuff on things working or not and tracing down problems. If you're gonna try to diagnose and fix stuff yourself on the RV...you're gonna need one eventually...so you might as well spring for it up front.

One last thing...tp immediately know something about how your charging system is working. Have the camper plugged in.
Put yout meter leads on the battery - & + and take a voltage reading.
If it reads ANYTHING over 13.2V and less than 15 volts...your charging system is fine. If it doesn't....then you need to start troubleshooting as suggested above. Good luck!

Thats not true on my Cedar Creek. I was using it, connected to shore power and the dc side was working but my battery was not charging. The lights were working off the converter, it seems. Not quite sure how it is wired but that was my experience.

Hi all, I get a reading of 12.31 on the battery leads and 13.89 on the connectors when removed from the battery.
