Battery Draining

We have a 2012 FR 26 V Lite purchased in July. When the unit is stored, the 12 volt battery runs down in about 1 week with nothing running. In researching this problem, we have found that the CO/propane detector is probably the culprit. Is there a battery disconnect swith on this unit and if so where is it located? Thank you for any advice you can give us.

I don't know about your particular unit. Some manufacturer's include them but most battery disconnects have been added by the owner.

They can usually be found close to the battery off of the positive terminal (but sometimes off of the negative terminal).

I believe most the forum use this one if you have TWO Batteries or this one if you have one. Very nicely built.

i don't know of any TT manufacturer that includes a battery disconnect switch.
i've only seen them, from the factory, on 5th wheels and motorhomes.

What he said! The blue sea are the best and I have one and it's great.
Also if you have a harbor freight nearby they have a cheaper panel
mount single battery disconnect and also a battery post mounted switch
but be aware the post mount switch might not fit in some battery boxes.
Go to Harbor Freight Tools
and search for battery switch.
I'd guess that Autozone has them as well.

There are other items in my trailer that also slowly drain my battery.
My power center actually is a small drain when it is not plugged in.
Bottom line -- if you are not plugged into shore power you are draining
your battery even if you aren't home!
You need a battery switch!
They should be standard equipment on any trailer that comes with a battery
but the manufacturers go cheap and leave it up to you.
