Battery installation

I have an 07' CC Daydreamer and i'm having problems with the batteries. One of the two 12v deep-cycle batteries were shot so i purchased two new ones and when i re-attached the wires i switched the battery switch on and pushed the battery state indicator onmy panel9where you see your LP and tank levels and the 12v side of my fiver went out,i frantically checked all the circut breakers and fuses everywhere but none were tripped or burned out, shortly after i attached the red and black wire to a single battery and everything went back on. I'm sure i screwed up hooking up the batteries in the first place so i'm going to post some pics and perhaps someone out there way smarter than me might be able to steer me in the right direction!!

Thanks in advance
