Battery power switch

I am trying to figure out if I should keep the battery disconnect switch in the on or off position when keeping it in my driveway for a few weeks. I will have the Travel Trailer plugged into the house for power during that time.

I keep mine ON (connected) when mine is plugged in.

I keep mine on, but my camper is also plugged into shore power virtually 365 days per year. If it wasn't plugged in to shore power, I would turn the battery switch off otherwise things like the radio, co detector, etc, would drain the battery to nothing after a while and destroy it. Also keep in mind that some campers may have other things attached to the battery that the battery switch won't turn off and in that case, disconnecting the battery cable may be needed to fully isolate it for long term storage. On mine the only things the battery switch won't turn off is my power tongue jack, the emergency brake and my TPMS range extender. the range extender would be the only thing that would actually draw power though.

Typically, if the batteries are disconnected while connected to shore power they will not be charging from the converter.

It all boils down to whether the RV is on shore power or not.
If on shore power, the disconnect switch stays closed (on). If there's no shore power, it stays open (off).
