Battery question

I've done a little research about this and most say yes to leaving the battery in the on position when permanently parked. I've had mine in the off position thinking it should be while connected to shore power. I realize after reading if there's ever a power failure you can only count on your battery for certain things in the RV. I'm a newb to the RV world so would appreciate input from the long timers. Thanks!

I am no expert but can report that my trailer(s) have always been stored at home and plugged in and the battery connected. No negative results in about 20 years.

Thanks for the info. From what I've been reading you're correct.

Just check the water levels in the battery(ies) periodically. If you do that, leaving the disconnect switch on and being connected to shore power 24/7 isn't a problem.

Plus I realize it's a good idea to pull the slides in and out once and a while and can't be done without the battery or done manually. Thanks for the replies, on it is.
