You are passing current through both battery's evenly. Believe me it works. Have my solar panels connected the same. No problems.

It is NOT different...
any battery... all the same...

As someone said you won't have a problem UNLESS your batteries are discharged before plugging in the Tender Jr.
plug into shore power for 24-48 hours before plugging in the Tender

I usually plug into shore power when I get home. The home I recently purchased has a nice RV pad (which caused us to purchase our first RV) with a nice weatherproof 120v outlet on the side wall. So once completely charged, I'll switch over to my Tender Jr. hooked up to one of the batteries and I'm good to go in sustaining mode. Right?
