I have had the Champion 3100 Inverter manual pull for 3 years now. It's starts easy on the first pull. Thought about selling it and getting an electric start until I ran into a fellow camper whose internal battery for the electric start had died. It still has a manual pull you can use but you have to remove the back cover to do a manual choke. Not a big deal really, it just wasn't evident until we read the manual.

I'm keeping my 3100 manual start because I just found out I can spend about $70 and add the option to use my boats Yamaha 6gal tank as an Extended run option. I've always been concerned about pouring gas into the top built-in tank while the generator is hot and with an extended run, I won't need to do that. With a 6 gal tank I'll now be able to run 24 hours when I camp at Quartzite. Besides, I always have my 6gal tank with me as I carry a 10ft. Porta-boat mounted under the fifth-wheel.

From what I can tell, the sale is for the 2000 watt, and not that good a price, $450. Also hear the champs are a bit noisy? Have a 3500wt champ that was given to me , need to clean carb to get running. Will let you know how loud it is soon!
P.S. I all so am a neeeubeeee !!

450 is less than half the price of the Honda or yahama. It's a great price for the inverter generator

You can buy the remote 3100 champion for 849 or the non remote for 749. Click image for larger version

These generators are rated the same in decibels as the Honda. I can't speak to issues starting them because I have never had a problem with either of mine

Yes, the Champion 3500 watt generator is going to be noisy. It is an open frame generator not an inverter model. The Champ 2000 inverter runs at 53db, the Champ 3500 open frame runs at 68db.

My 2400 Watt Westinghouse runs the 13.5 btu fine. The I consider a larger generator but I wanted something I could carry around like a suitcase and fit in the front compartment of my little 2104. See the video.

I have a 4kw harbor freight and put on the front of trailor. Mounted it on a Stromburg Carlson front trailor mount. I leave it there and run it. Noisey bui I don't hear it from inside. Neighbors do. Works well starts easy and runs 8 he on tank. I also added hard start kit to a.c. and generator adaptor to 50 amp plug.

Many campgrounds prohibit these type of generators for a reason. As others have stated, I woulnd't leave that alone for very long. Generators like that tend to have wires or plugs removed
