Changing light bulb in rear tail lights

On my 2012 coachman 292BHDS I was thinking of changing out the taillight bulbs for LED equivalents. But I can’t figure out the way to take off the red lens. It appears to be sealed onto the backing plate. There is a indent that I can push on but the lens doesn’t move. Are these made as throwaways where if you have a burnt out bulb you need to change the entire assembly? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Mine were "sealed" with whatever sealant they use at the factory to seal around the base plates. Try scoring the seam between the lens and base.

I did that on my Rockwood but a single LED did not put out enough light.
I ended up replacing the both taillights with LED fixtures ,now when I change lanes

I know others can see my flashers.

Mine had some spots of adhesive too. Guess they don't want them to be lost during transit.

Another thing to consider when changing out to LED is the flasher.
Some don't play well with LEDs unless the bulbs have some resistance built in.

I did the same. Some of these "Replacement" LED bulbs are not bright enough. Way better replacing the whole fixture if you want taillights that are easier to see.
