Charging /w Battery Tender

I have 2 deep cycle batteries in series on the RV.
Would like to be able to charge them both.
I have a Battery Tender Trickle Charger seen below.

If I attach this to one battery that is in series will it also charge the other one as well???

Thank in advance for any help.

If you have two batteries in parallel ( positive to positive & Negative to negative) then yes. If they are really in series ( positive to negative )then no. Are the batteries 6V or 12V? If they are 12V they are most likely in parallel. If they are 6V then they are in series.

Ok so I was incorrect, they are in wired in parallel.
Pos to Pos Neg to Neg.

So if I put the Battery Tender on one battery it will charge both?

Thank you for the speedy reply!

Depending on the amount of battery you have, you may not be happy with it. I bought one last year when I went to 6V's. That 1.25A charger wouldn't fully float them. I ended up giving the battery tender away and buying another CTEK.

DO NOT make light of the fact that you were incorrect. If in fact you hook them up in series you will have 24 volts coming out of two 12 volt batteries and most likely burn up your electronics and or create a fire which will burn your camper.

If you are looking to CHARGE rather than maintain....the Tender is not suitable. You need a minimum of a 10% of amp hours charger to do actual charging and it should provide 14.5V during bulk charging to mix your fluid preventing stratification and sulphation. You have a MINIMUM of 150 amp hours in a pair of 12Volts...so you need a smart charger of a minimum 15 amps...with 30 a much better choice.
Tenders tend...Chargers charge!

I got a battery tender hooked to my boat 24/7. Keeps batteries topped off even when bilge runs on occasion.

I burned a battery tender just about like that one only a little smaller trying to charge 2 12 volt in parallel it's just too much load for them

I may be wrong but the tender is just that a tender. Not a charger. I believe ur batteries have to be charged for the tender to maintain charge.

I've used one for four years on my home generator and it's still maintaining, goes red for 2 minutes when fires up then goes green. Cheaper than $400 trickle charger from manufacturer.

Confused

Why not use your built-in converter?

Most new trailers have a three or four-stage smart converter that will take good care of charging and maintaining a battery.

Yeah, it might have been a fluke but I think the little tender was just running at it's max with 2 group 27 batteries in parallel. I probably should have unplugged it in hindsight as it was very hot.
